Hello I’m Louise, and here’s a little about me behind The Pen buddy…
I’m a Mum of 3 children, 2 cats, and partner of 15 years to the better half who lurks about making the funds for me to be able to follow my passion.
Buddy started in the hidden depths of my dining room in 2016.
I started crafting 11 years ago when suffering with post natal depression from my first born, and buried my head making greeting cards.
Through determination, I
got back to my old jolly self and since had a another 2 children and couldn’t be happier!
Originally from West Sussex, going through very rocky times after having my first born – on a total whim – I upped & moved to Cumbria 9 years ago to make a better life for myself- which was the best (and scariest) decision I ever made! Now enjoying the stunning mountains of the Lake District and glistening Irish sea.. I love every day!
(If ever you want to do something – JUST DO IT- I totally recommend it!!)
With little self confidence, dyslexia, quirky personality and occasionally bright pink hair.. I aim to bring a little happiness and positivity. I like to make conversation, be friendly, perhaps talk a little too much.. and drop in the occasional (not so funny) joke to make you smile 😉 oh, and I spend FARR to much time on Facebook getting involved with thousands of other crafter’s.
So my little hobby has now grown into a little jolly business after very quickly growing in popularity, (spite being a little quiet at the moment due to being on maternity leave this year) Pen Buddy has now become my full time job. In 2018 my Mum and I opened a local craft shop for 2 years but due to the Covid pandemic, we decided to close and continue on back at home again.
